Our Lord Jesus Christ is superior to the angels
Deut 33:2 “He said, “The LORD came from Sinai and dawned from Seir upon us; he shone forth from Mount Paran; he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire at his right hand.” ESV
Deut 33:2 “And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.” KJV
Has anyone ever seen the word millions in the Bible? I haven’t run across it yet. Ten thousands! That could be just about any number you can imagine; at any rate, it’s a huge number. So if God had that many Angel attending this one event, how many did He have doing other tasks? So the total number of angels in God’s heaven must be mind-boggling.
And Jesus, Our Lord, is superior to all of them.
1:1-2 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”
No angel or other created being created a world; Jesus created a universe. Go back to Genesis, take a look.
Genesis 1-1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
Then go to John 1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made.”
He has a more excellent name, Jesus is The Son of God. Not a son of God, but The Son of God.
Psalm 2:7 “I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”
Only God is worthy of worship, Jesus is worthy of Worship.
Col:15-17 “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
The angels serve, Christ reigns.
Psalm 104:4-15 “Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed forever. Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills. They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.”
Jesus is my Savior my Lord and my God. There is no one, no being, nothing that is superior to Christ. And by the grace of God, we can all know Him.
